T&D World University Returns

to Dallas on October 27-29, 2008,

at the Dallas/Addison Marriott Quorum

 

 

The first edition of T&D World University was a resounding success! Utility Managers, Engineers and Technical Personnel from all over the US …and the world… turned out for the industry’s most comprehensive continuing education program. Attendees came from 33 US states and eight foreign nations, including representatives from as far away as Cote D’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Nigeria and Spain.

 

A faculty of industry experts provided the tools, techniques and insights needed to update skills and bring young professional to peak performance levels. The also facilitated networking to help participants cultivate vital new contacts

 

Participants had their choice of more than 35 presentations in nine track areas, including

  •  Substation Communications & Utility Automation
  •  Maintenance
  •  Power Quality & Reliability
  •  Business
  •  Integration

 

 

Daily breakfasts and informal luncheons as well as a reception gave the conferees additional opportunities to intermingle and build relationships with each other. Added presentations included a welcome address by Rob Trimble, COO of host utility Oncor, as well as an address on Managing the Grid in a Changing World by Oncor’s Director of Electric Delivery, Phillip McCrory along with Tom Anderson, Utility Industry Specialist of Capgemini. The final day’s address on Business Transformation with AMI, DR and Smart Grid was given by Hahn Tram, Executive Consultant, Enspiria Solutions.

 

 

T&D World University returns to Dallas on October 27-29, 2008 at the

Dallas/Addison Marriott Quorum by the Galleria in Dallas, TX and the goal is to increase the number of courses by 20% while adding more special networking features.
